Lazer Tech Tips
You can characterize fish "moods" into three levels. Negative, neutral, and positive. Negative fish show
virtually no interest in lures and you must coax them into biting. Neutral fish will many times just lightly
mouth baits. When that happens, smaller lures and slower retrieves are needed. Positive fish aggressively
strike properly presented lures and baits. Distinguish these moods by experimenting with lures and presentations
and monitoring how fish respond. In negative and neutral moods Nitro scents can mean the difference between a
no fish day and a great day on the water by triggering fish to strike.

Lazer Sharp has two brand new treble colors perfect for accenting your crankbaits. Use a red or KrawfishTM treble on the front hook to match the red throat and a chartreuse treble on the back hook for added flash to the chartreuse stripe or belly.
With such a wide range of Lazer Sharp hooks to choose from it can be difficult to select the best hook for a given application. As a rule of thumb, match your hook to the bait or lure size you are using instead of the size of fish you are targeting.
Lazer Sharp has the most comprehensive circle hook line in the world. You will find various shapes, sizes and colors to meet all your angling needs. Use circle hooks for all applications where you would a standard hook. Remember: Simply begin reeling in after initial strike. No need to set the hook, the fish does it for you.
Lazer Sharp hooks are the only hooks carrying the Sea Guard® finish. The most corrosion resistant finish next to stainless steel. Perfect for all saltwater applications. Also available in Sea Guard Red and Sea Guard Black.
Whether you are fishing in tournament competition or against your fishing buddies, you need every advantage to come out on top. Your fishhook is the one piece of equipment that connects you to the fish. All Lazer Sharp hooks’ sharpness, strength and design are unmatched in the industry. Give yourself an advantage — use Lazer Sharp.
To help eliminate line twist fill your spools ¾ of the way full with fresh Lazer Line. Spool it on tightly in
the correct direction as shown on the back of the Lazer Line box. Match the manufacturer's pound test rating on the
reel and don’t crank on a running fish. Let the drag do its work.

Many times I want to put bigger hooks on my crankbaits because some lures come with hooks that are entirely
too small. The problem with that is the hooks can tangle and reduce your hookup ratio. I used to get frustrated
with the tangle problem until I found a solution. If a lure comes with # 6 treble hooks I: First - replace the
split rings that come on the bait with size #1's, then I replace the size #6 hooks with a Lazer Sharp short shank size #4 or #5 treble hook.
